Welcome Home

It has got to be hard to be a military family. Having to leave your family for long periods of time and vice versa, waiting at home for your loved one to come home. One thing is for sure the Homecomings are great! This week we are awaiting one of ours to come home. Love you Cory can't wait for you to be home!

Sarah Beth

Just finished this LO of Sarah Beth. While she was here last week we did a short photo shoot and she was all about possing even brought the teddy bear along as a prop. So much fun in that little package!

Pictures in a Layout

You saw the pictures now they are in a layout ready to go into our summer scrapbook.
Love the super cute swimming title by Karen Foster Designs. Debbie found it an gave it to me knowing that sooner or later I would have the perfect place for it.

Scrap Art Fun

The G-kids where here last week so of course I had an art project ready for them. I gave them each a picture of themself, an 8.5 by 11 piece of chipboard and a selection of embellishments for them to pick from along with a clue stick and a stapler. Then I let them have at it. I showed them the one I was working on to give them a general idea and told them tell tell something about themselves on the story board. It was so fun to watch them create. Sarah Beth had hers loaded with embellishments, flowers, crowns ribbons, she had it all and lots of it! Sean was very precise and no frills with a cool saying. Scott was symetrical with no words, after all a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Unfortunately they headed back home before I got their work scanned in. Wah Wah Here is mine though and this project was so much fun I am sure we will do it again. Next time I will besure to get theirs scanned in!

A visit with the G-babies

Cory and his family were here last week. Always a whirlwind of acitivity when they are here. The kids were able to swim alot and the rains held off until night time.
Went to see the movie Up the kids enjoyed that. Cory and Debbie got to sneak away to Jekyll Island for the night. The kids and I did some art projects which I did not
manage to get post here before they took them home. The Cat with floaties statue was a gift from Debbie and Cory a few years ago. It always makes me smile!

A visit to the Zoo

We had a great afternoon at the zoo. Our main reason for going was to test out our skills with the new telephoto lens. This photography journey has not been an easy one for this point and shot gal. Taking the setting off of automatic and knnowing what you are doing has totally been out of my comfort zone but I am happy to say that I am finally getting it! LOL I found some great material on Two Peas in a Bucket by Mark and Joanna Bolick which is finially making it click {no pun intended} for me! Happy shooting!

In the Pink Again

I count myself as incredibly lucky to get to spend special time with my grand-daughters. Sarah Beth loves to put on a fancy dress. It seems to empower her to be the princess of all things fun. She just may be a throw back to the fifty's when the ladies of the house wore dresses everyday to cook, clean their homes and take care of their children.

On another day Maggie Beth I had fun picking out flowers to put in the flower pots on her front porch. We put in some lettuce to just in case Peter Rabbit stops by for a snack. She even makes sweeping dirt seem like fun! LOL
