Latest Adventure

We recently got away for a week to visit the kids in Virginia Beach. The weather was great! No rain and not to terribly hot. They have a new Kishon puppy. She is adorable so playful and sassy! The Easter Bunny visited while we were there and left a gazillion eggs. We got to visit the Norfolk Botanical Gardens. This is a beautiful garden with lots of exhibits and they even have bald eagles nesting in the wild there. Unfortunately they nest so high up I could not get a good picture. We also visited Busch Gardens. Those boys and their Daddy do love a good roller coaster! Sarah Beth, Debbie and I preferred the smaller version and road it numerous times. We
got to take a walk on the beach and get some family pictures. It was all over with much to soon but so good to get away. Back to business now getting our flower gardens ready.

Homemade Doll Closet

I finally finished the homemade doll closest for my granddaughters American Girl Dolls! They were made out of cardboard boxes, paint, wallpaper boarder, wooden dowel and wood drawer knobs with a screw. I added two sizes of hanger but the American Girl hangers actually work better. The plastic three drawer container I added for other accessories. It was a big hit with Maggie Beth and I am hoping Sarah Beth will love it too when I give it to her in in April.
I have taken on another big project for one of my co-workers. She was diagnosed with ALS and will be retiring soon. The pictures have been flooding in faster the I can keep up with for her scrapbook. I am so honored to be able to this for her and her husband.

Cupid

Got this super cute card in the mail this week. Don't know who the photographer was to give them credit but love the cupid idea! Been busy this week making mini closets for the girls American Girl doll clothes and accessories. If they turn out well I will put a picture on here. For now I will tell you it is made out of a cardboard box with a dowel, wall paper, borders, paint and a medium size plastic three drawer container plus wooden drawer pulls as door knobs. When I was a little girl a family friend made me one and then sewed the doll clothes to put in it. Fast forward fifty years and I am trying to make one for my grand daughters. Thank goodness for the invention of American Girl Doll clothes cause I could never sew them! LOL

Pride and Glory

Well there she is in all her glory, my husband's pride and joy! He has been wanting one of these for several years and finally bit the bullet and got it. Now mind you I was kicking and screaming all the way but, I gotta admit I'm enjoying it too!
